Looks good. So your saying for almost the price of 3 decals I can get a new set of fairings like this! Nice! My blue yellow has pealed left fairing on 3 decals. Dealer wants 150 each! Might just get new fairings then!

I was kind of on the fence about it myself. I heard so many mixed reviews about buying fairings on eBay. I can't speak for the other sellers but I am happy with the ones I received from this particular one. Who knows, they probably all get them from the same factory somewhere?

 

Dashieng and Motofairings have really good prices.

 

That color scheme rocks, seriously.

 

Here's mine from dasheng tieliang. I didnt have a single fitment problem with mine.

My ho-hum silver and black. Upper and mids from Motofairings. Tank shelter from TCmoto or something like that (crap POS made of PVC, poor fit.) My paint doesn't match mids either.

Sale date was 7/7 and arrived here in Tucson on 7/23.

I think that they don't paint the fairings until after you order because I e-mailed him and it wasn't actually shipped until July 18.

Not yet but haven't ridden at all because my rotor is still f'ed from the attempted theft. It did come with some heat shielding though.

 

Your lowers will warp and melt... My first ride out with aftermarkets I could smell plastic burning. By the second week they looked like melted fruit rollups.

 

Lol I hope not. I could install some better heat shielding.

yeah let us know if they do melt. the dasheng fairings look sweet and i may just have to pick some up. if they dont melt...

 

Now you guys got me thinking about the heat lol. Might have to pull them off and put some extra heat shielding. Lots of spare aircraft heat shielding where I work. If it works for jet engines it should work for the CBR

I don't really feel like taking them back off again. I'll ride some and see if I notice anything and let you all know. Like I said, it came with some on the lowers. Nothing on the mid but I guess I can pull off the OEM and glue it to the new ones.

 

I tried that, they tear. leave the OEM heat shield on the OEMs.

 

Just to be safe I would but heatsheilding on if you haven't done so already. All of my friends have had the horrible luck of having their lowers melting with the china supplied heat shielding.

 

I would be safe and heatshield as much as possible:thumbsup:

 

the OPs bike is looking good with those fairings. i wouldnt be able to tell they arent OEM.

Any melting of exhaust on the lower fairing. It's kinda weird but my OEM is melting around ON of the HONDA. -_-

nice! getting those aftermarket fairings i feel is a gamble i have gone threw a couple sets back in the day on my 04, some sets fit good, and some sets cant even fit around the gas cap lid with out over laping! but good job putting them on! did any tabs break wile installing them?

 

Didn't break any tabs and had no fitment problems. I'd buy them again.

 

that is a sick upgrade for the price paid

 

My friend has this exact set on his 06 1000 and it looks really good. My other buddy just put a set of white and Candy apple red on his and its great as well

id rathr buy new ones for 450 lol on ebay

locally I see guys selling stock fairings for 300$

 

DEI makes some nice heat shielding aswell, may be worth it to check it.
