My stator has gone bad? updated with pic

Last night my 06 1000RR would not start. A little charge & it started. At idle, the gauges would go out. I made it home from work & charged the battery. I ran a few basic test this morning & here is what I got

13.02V battery voltage key off
12.95v battery voltage key on
12.84v idle rpm
12.99v 5000rpm
fan kicks on & 12.46v

with high beam on as per service manual
12.75v idle
12.83v 5k rpm
fan kicks on & 12.42v

Checked battery amp draw with 2p rectifier plug connected & disconnected & both were .01A

Checked stator. All 3 yellow wires has continuity with each other & ground.

I know the stator is bad. What about the rectifier?

I'm most likely going to order from Brad. He has 2 brands, any difference in them? What about compared to factory? It looks like I could probably put the bike back together & get a free one at the dealer (less than 7 years old), but I don't mind paying for a better solution.

I had battery charging problems, was told that my bike was in the warranty extension('07) so i took it to the Honda nazis(local dealer) had them replace under the warranty. And after they were all done they decided to tell me that my stator apparently was fine, and charged me for everything. so make sure they do a stator check before they tear it open.

Ok. It's been 3 months. Care to update? I've had this same problem in the past with the magical blue smoke coming out of my stator leaving behind the same charred wires as in your pictures.

If/when (hopefully never) I have this problem again I would consider upgrading to the 06-07 stator and flywheel if it is a better solution.
Thanks in advance!

Need some help. 2004 1000KRR. Original stator was replaced in 2007 under warranty but my battery died and I replaced the battery two days ago. After 140 miles of riding, the bike died again. I checked the battery and it had 11.6 volts and would not crank the engine. I checked the stator and it show resistance of .1 to 0.2 Ohm between the three yellow wires but it also show continuity when grounded. Is this one going bad also? I have a spare one sitting from 2007 I purchased from Brad so I have the replacement but not sure if this is the problem. How difficult is to replace the flywheel?.

It was 2007 when my original stator died. At that time I did not know about the Honda warranty, so I ordered a brand new stator from Brad in order to replace it. When I took it to Honda, they said it is covered so I saved that stator all these years.

I am sure it was the updated as it is Honda part

If you ordered the replacement from Brad then it should bolt up without replacing the flywheel. You should be able to tell when you have the old one out to compare. The 06-7 I believe have a larger inside diameter size stator which is why flywheel must be changed.
It really isnt hard to change out. Fairings are the hardest part. And Im sure youve had them off a few times.

Hondabond is holding stator cover in place after you take out bolts so thats kinda a PITA to get the cover off. The cover is also magnetized. Remember that when you put it all back together or that nice pretty bead of silicone will get screwed up if you dont line it back up when you re install. Also check white connector to regulator for burn marks.

Put batt on charger while you change everything out.

I will thank. Looks like a straight forward process. I will grab a new battery and a Honda bond from dealer tomorrow. My old battery is original battery that lasted this long so it has to go.

I checked the white connector mark already and they are good.

Thanks very much.
